Our Story: From Struggles to Strength
In 2015, Samantha Clarke, a single mother of two, was determined to build a better future for her children after facing the challenges of a difficult divorce. Living in Portland, Oregon, with limited resources, Samantha decided to turn her passion for art and craftsmanship into a small online business. What began as a way to make ends meet soon blossomed into EQUALLYTO, a brand driven by resilience, community, and a commitment to high-quality craftsmanship.
By 2017, Samantha's small business was thriving. She started sourcing handmade products from talented local artisans in Portland, and by 2018, she expanded her reach to artisans in Mexico, India, Morocco, and Indonesia. Each piece was chosen with care, ensuring it represented fair trade practices and supported ethical working conditions.
As her brand grew, Samantha took pride in empowering these artisans and sharing their stories with her customers. EQUALLYTO became more than just a store—it became a platform for supporting sustainability, local craftsmanship, and fair wages.
By 2019, Samantha’s mission expanded to include supporting single parents. She created mentoring programs to help other single mothers start their own businesses, offering advice and guidance from her own experience. Through EQUALLYTO, she’s worked hard to foster a community where single parents can find support, inspiration, and empowerment.
As the business grew, Samantha made it a priority to give back. Since 2021, she has donated 10% of every sale to children’s education programs and single-parent support organizations. With every purchase, customers of EQUALLYTO help fund initiatives that make a difference in the lives of those who need it most.
Today, EQUALLYTO operates from our humble headquarters at 573 Dark Hollow Road, Penns Neck, New Jersey 8540. We continue to build on Samantha's vision by expanding our reach, supporting local businesses, and making a positive impact on the world.
